South Street, Rutgers, Famous Dave’s and McFadden’s
September 1st, 2007

Relax, South Street, walk around, look at hats, I miss Tower Records, becoming a Walgreens, bubble tea, buy a hat, random skate shops, Nixon watches, visit Rutgers, completely redone cafeteria, looks like Panera Bread, visit frat house, so dirty but nicely decorated, go home and shower, Famous Dave’s BBQ, great ribs, drinks at McFadden’s, so many bachelorette parties, feeling old, “had to go”, went home and “went”, still full, good times

Peter and the Wolf
July 25th, 2007

meet up with Chung and In Kyung, the Mann, Peter and the Wolf, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Rossen Milanov, conductor; Elissa Lee Koljonen, violin; BRITTEN Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell, PROKOFIEV Peter and the Wolf,
SHOSTAKOVICH Violin Concerto No. 1; The Philadelphia Orchestra’s performance of Prokofiev’s classic Peter and the Wolf, with its riveting story and descriptive music, will be enhanced by the North American premiere of a new animated film. The edgy film is intended to appeal to a generation of young people raised on forms of entertainment (i.e. movies, video games, TV) that are darker and more visually oriented than those of previous generations and features stop-frame model animation. The program also features Britten’s Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell and Shostakovich’s First Violin Concerto, performed by Philadelphia violinist Elissa Lee Koljonen.
